Electoral Territory System (ETS)
One definition of place, shared by everyone.
ETS holds the electoral geography the whole campaign reasons about: county, constituency, ward, polling station. It carries the contests attached to each level and the candidates standing in them. When two teams disagree about coverage, this is the register that settles it.
What ETS does
- Full Territorial Hierarchy
- Model the country from national level down to the individual polling station.
- Contest and Position Registry
- Record every seat being contested and the candidate standing for it.
- Polling Station Master Data
- Maintain station codes, locations and registered-voter counts as reference data.
- Boundary Change Handling
- Absorb boundary revisions without losing historical comparability.
- Single Source of Truth
- Every other product reads its geography from here rather than keeping a copy.
Campaign Foundation. Standing the campaign up: configuration, people, territory.
Works with
- Geospatial Intelligence System — Political work is territorial.
- Polling Agent Management System — The result is protected at the station, or not at all.
